What FLUX.2 is
On November 25, 2025, Black Forest Labs posted FLUX.2. That post describes a family: FLUX.2 [pro], FLUX.2 [flex], FLUX.2 [dev] at 32B, FLUX.2 [klein] as coming soon, and a FLUX.2 VAE under Apache 2.0. It says the models can edit at up to 4MP and can use up to 10 reference images. It says the system couples a Mistral-3 24B vision-language model with a rectified flow transformer.
The same post says FLUX.2 [flex] exposes steps and guidance, and its figure captions show 6, 20 and 50 steps. It says flex is aimed at text and fine detail. This site's menu item Flux 2 sends text requests to flux-2/flex-text-to-image and edits to flux-2/flex-image-to-image. Those requests set resolution to 1K and do not send a steps or guidance field. Flux 2 costs 8 credits. Flux 2 Pro sends flux-2/pro-text-to-image and costs 16 credits, also at 1K.
The Black Forest Labs overview, read on October 31, 2026, adds FLUX.2 [max] with grounding search, and lists klein as available: 4B under Apache 2.0 and 9B under the FLUX Non-Commercial License. That table says pro, flex and max take up to 8 references on the API and 10 in the playground, dev recommends 6, and klein takes up to 4. This website does not sell max, dev or FLUX.2 [klein]. FLUX.3 Klein, priced here at 4 credits, is a later model released on October 15, 2026. It is not the FLUX.2 [klein] line.

How to read a FLUX.2 trial
The family is not one model
The November 25, 2025 post names pro, flex and dev together. A result from one endpoint is not a result from the others.

Flux 2 costs 8 credits and calls flux-2/flex-text-to-image. It does not send the steps or guidance controls the post describes for FLUX.2 [flex].
Five references, not ten
The composer on this site accepts up to 5 reference images. The vendor post says up to 10. Those are different limits.
Klein on this site is later
FLUX.3 Klein costs 4 credits and was released on October 15, 2026. Do not treat it as FLUX.2 [klein].
