Krea 2 is Krea's own image model, announced on May 12, 2026. The open-weight card and the hosted API describe different controls. This page runs Flux 2, which Nano AI has priced, and it is not that API.

What Krea 2 is
The page krea.ai/krea-2, published May 12, 2026, calls Krea 2 an image model built for aesthetics. It says the model was trained from scratch, and it points at style references and moodboards. It also says K2 generates in 15 seconds or less. That timing is Krea's claim. This site has not measured it. The same page says Krea 3 is a newer editing model. This page does not review Krea 3.
The Hugging Face card for krea/Krea-2-Raw, last updated June 22, 2026, names a diffusion transformer with 12 billion parameters, license Krea 2 Community License, and two checkpoints: Raw and Turbo. It says Raw is not recommended for inference and is a base for fine-tuning, and that Turbo is an 8-step distilled checkpoint. The file it tells you to download is raw.safetensors. This site does not host that file.
Krea's API overview, read on November 1, 2026, says the hosted model ships as Medium and Large. Large is described as more than 2× the size of Medium. Endpoints are krea-2/medium and krea-2/large. Resolution is 1K only. List prices on that page: Medium text-to-image $0.030, with style references $0.035, with moodboards $0.040; Large $0.060, $0.065 and $0.070. The creativity field is raw, low, medium or high. Intensity, complexity and movement run from -100 to 100. Moodboards are limited to 1. The overview says to keep Krea 2 for weighted style references, moodboards, LoRAs and Generative Sliders, and that those controls are not interchangeable with Krea 3 image references. The button here does not send those fields. It runs Flux 2 at 8 credits and 1K, with up to 5 reference images. /krea-makina is a different search, about a steel firm and the older suite.
