GPT Image 2.6 examples
Official Images 2.6 examples from OpenAI's image prompting guide, read on 2026-11-05. The three paper-cut posters are one prompt at low, medium and high complexity. The two Thread ads are one tagline prompt. These are OpenAI's images, shown unretouched.

What is GPT Image 2.6?
GPT Image 2.6 is OpenAI's image generation and editing model, released on November 4, 2026 in ChatGPT, Codex, and the API. OpenAI calls the release Images 2.6. In the API the two variants are gpt-image-2.6-flare and gpt-image-2.6-sunburst.
OpenAI says Images 2.6 is about 50% faster than before. Flare is the faster variant and, at low quality, can return an image in as little as about 6 seconds. Sunburst is for higher detail and more consistent results across edits. The API also adds GIFs, markup-guided edits, SVG export, a complexity setting of low, medium or high, and quality settings that include xhigh and max.
On Nano AI, GPT Image 2.6 is one entry in the model menu. You get the 1K tier, up to 5 reference images, and 1 to 4 variations, at 12 credits per image. GIF export, SVG export, markup overlays, and the complexity and quality controls are OpenAI API features; they are not separate controls on this page. You do not need a ChatGPT plan or an OpenAI API key.

What OpenAI changed in GPT Image 2.6
Complexity changes the plan
The paper-cut football prompt leaves the trophy, uniforms and lettering open. At low complexity the trophy wears a crown and CHAMPIONS sits on a front banner. At high complexity the sign moves into the stands and the jerseys turn blue.
The tagline has to be exact
The Thread ads were asked for the tagline "Yours to Create." once, and for no extra text. Flare and Sunburst are OpenAI's two 2.6 variants of that same prompt, not two items in the Nano AI menu.
Slides with real numbers
The Market Opportunity slide was prompted with TAM $42B, SAM $8.7B and SOM $340M. OpenAI marks those figures as fictional. Check every number before you reuse a generated slide.
GIFs in the API
OpenAI's Sunburst example animates a monkey lifting a paper lantern. The gallery shows one still from that GIF. This page returns still images.
Faster, by OpenAI's account
OpenAI says Images 2.6 is about 50% faster than before, and that Flare can be about 6 seconds at low quality. Nano AI has not published its own timing yet.

GPT Image 2.6 prompts to try
The first four are the prompts OpenAI published with the examples above. Put required words in quotation marks.
Thread tagline
Give me a cool in culture ad / fashion shot for a brand called Thread. It's a hip young street brand. The ad shows a group of friends hanging out together with the tagline "Yours to Create." Make it feel like a polished campaign image for a youth streetwear audience: stylish, contemporary, energetic, and tasteful. Use clean composition, strong color direction, natural poses, and premium fashion photography cues. Render the tagline exactly once, clearly and legibly, integrated into the ad layout. No extra text, no watermarks, no unrelated logos.
Paper-cut champions
A premium handcrafted layered paper-cut illustration of a football team celebrating a championship victory inside a packed stadium.
Market slide
Create one pitch-deck slide titled "Market Opportunity" that feels like a real Series A fundraising slide from a YC-backed startup. Use a clean white background, modern sans-serif typography like Inter, and a crisp, minimal layout. Include a TAM/SAM/SOM concentric-circle diagram in muted blues and grays, TAM $42B, SAM $8.7B, SOM $340M, a bar chart of market growth from 2021 to 2026, footnotes "AGI Research, 2024" and "Internal analysis", and a company logo placeholder in the bottom-right corner. Highly readable text, clear data hierarchy, polished spacing. The figures in this prompt are fictional.
Lantern still
A little monkey in an olive-green hooded coat stands in a snowy pine forest at dusk. A wooden cabin glows in the background. The monkey holds a glowing amber paper lantern at chest height, slowly lifts it, looks up and blinks, then lowers it back to its starting pose. Keep the lantern in its hands and the camera still. Make the motion loop smoothly.
Edit: keep the tagline
Change only the jacket colors to deep red. Keep every person, the tagline "Yours to Create.", and the layout exactly as they are.
FAQ
GPT Image 2.6 FAQ

Is GPT Image 2.6 the same as Images 2.6?
Yes. Images 2.6 is OpenAI's name for the November 4, 2026 release in ChatGPT, Codex, and the API. GPT Image 2.6 is how Nano AI lists it. Some ChatGPT-only tools, such as in-app templates, are not on this page.
What is the difference between Flare and Sunburst?
They are OpenAI's two GPT Image 2.6 API variants. OpenAI describes Flare as the faster one, about 6 seconds at low quality, and Sunburst as the one for higher detail and more consistent edits. Nano AI lists a single model, GPT Image 2.6, not two menu items.
Do I need a ChatGPT subscription or an OpenAI API key?
No. You sign in to Nano AI and pay in Nano AI credits. There is nothing to configure.
Can I export a GIF or an SVG here?

How long does GPT Image 2.6 take?
Nano AI has not published a measured time yet. OpenAI says the release is about 50% faster than before, and that Flare can take about 6 seconds at low quality. Those figures are OpenAI's, not a timing from this site. If a generation fails, its credits are returned automatically.
Is Nano AI an official OpenAI product?
No. Nano AI is an independent service and is not affiliated with OpenAI. It offers GPT Image 2.6 alongside other image models.
