Pangram Image 1.0 is a detector, and this page does not run it
Pangram's November 4, 2026 post introduces Pangram Image 1.0 as an AI image detector with a heatmap, plus a faster Flash model for video. Nothing on this page sends a file to Pangram or shows a live verdict.
This site makes pictures. It does not score them.
Nano Banana 2.1 is the image tool, not a Pangram scan
Nano AI does not run Pangram Image 1.0 and does not return a Pangram verdict. Nano Banana 2.1 costs 8 credits for one 1K image, with up to 5 reference images. Eligible new accounts receive 64 credits, enough for 8 of those images. The picture is not a detection result.

Pangram Image 1.0, only the claims dated on their pages
The blog says Pangram built 1,200 synthetic mirrors from 100 real photos and 12 image generators, and that Pangram Image 1.0 scored 99.96 percent on that set. The detector page says 99.5 percent on a benchmark of 1,130 images, a false-positive rate of 0.16 percent on 10,000 pre-2022 web images, and zero false positives on 2,000 WikiArt paintings. Those are different tests. This page does not average them.
The same detector page says the tool looks for images from ChatGPT, Gemini, Nano Banana, Midjourney, FLUX and Grok Imagine, and that it does not rely on a watermark. It also says plans include a free allowance. The free line read here is 3 scans a day without signup, and 100 scans a month on an individual plan. That allowance is on pangram.com. It is not Nano AI credit.
If you want a new picture on this site, the button opens Nano Banana 2.1. It is an image generator at 8 credits and 1K. It will not tell you whether a file is AI, and it will not draw a Pangram heatmap.

What Pangram Image 1.0 says it does
Copied from Pangram's blog, the image-detector page and docs.pangram.com as read on 2026-11-06. This site has not called the API.
- 1
Treat it as a detector
The blog, posted November 4, 2026, calls Pangram Image 1.0 a flagship model for finding AI images, with a heatmap that marks where AI appears. It also announces Pangram Image Flash 1.0 for video, frame by frame.
- 2
Read the heatmap as their output, not ours
Their docs name the selector pangram-image-1. A successful image result can include prediction, ai_likelihood, confidence and a heatmap with grid and patch_stride. Prediction labels they list include AI Detected, Likely AI, Unsure, Likely No AI, No AI and Partially AI. This page does not produce those fields.
- 3
Keep the three size statements apart
The blog says the old floor was 512 and the new floor is 256, with a reduced-confidence note below 512. The detector FAQ still says JPG, PNG or WebP, minimum 512 by 512, up to 30 MB. The image docs say a decoded image can be at most 32 MiB and do not print a pixel minimum. This page does not pick a winner.
- 4
Video is Flash, still not this form
The blog says Flash analyzes video frame by frame and quotes 98.7 percent on DF26, 29 points over the next detector in their comparison. The docs selector is pangram-image-flash-1. Nano AI does not upload video to that API.
- 5
Use their site for a verdict
The detector page says the first 3 scans a day need no signup, and that individual plans include 100 scans a month. Those numbers are theirs. A result card in the gallery below is a drawing they published, including one that reads Human. It is not a scan of your file.
Selectors named in the public docs
The first cell is the selector string. Docs say a minor version inside the series can change without changing that string. Read on 2026-11-06.
| Selector | Docs page | What they say comes back | What Nano AI does |
|---|---|---|---|
| pangram-image-1 | Image detection | Example version Pangram Image 1.0, plus an optional heatmap | Nothing. This site does not call it. |
| pangram-image-flash-1 | Video detection | Frame samples and a Flash version string | Nothing. This site does not call it. |
How to read this page
Detector, not a generator
Pangram Image 1.0 scores an existing picture. The form people expect on a generator site is a different product, so this page opens with a link instead of pretending the form is Pangram.
Heatmap is theirs
Their docs describe patch scores. The pictures below are marketing art, including a drawn result card. They are not computed from your upload.
No affiliation
Nano AI does not sell Pangram plans, does not add their 3 daily scans, and does not share an account with them.
Pangram Image 1.0 beside the link on this page
Left is their published detector. Right is the only image tool this page links to.
| Pangram, as published | Link on this page | |
|---|---|---|
| Job | Detect AI in an image or, with Flash, in video | Generate one new 1K image |
| Model string | pangram-image-1 or pangram-image-flash-1 | Nano Banana 2.1 |
| Price here | Not sold here. Their page says 3 scans a day. | 8 credits a picture. 64 sign-up credits cover 8. |
| Output | A verdict and an optional heatmap | A picture. No verdict. |
| This website | pangram.com and docs.pangram.com | Nano AI. No Pangram API call. |

If you still want a picture on Nano AI
- 1
Leave the detector on their site
Upload there if you want their verdict. This page cannot show one, and the Human card in the gallery is a drawing.
- 2
Open Nano Banana 2.1
The button selects that model on the image generator. It costs 8 credits at 1K.
- 3
Write a picture prompt
The four prompts lower on this page are picture ideas. They do not ask for a detection score.
Picture prompts for Nano Banana 2.1
Use these after you open the generator. They are not inputs to Pangram Image 1.0.
Paper fox
Flat illustration of a paper fox on a black background, simple shapes, no text, no logos, no real people.
Heatmap legend
A grid of green and orange squares like a heatmap legend on a dark green field, no words and no brand marks.
Pufferfish
A cartoon pufferfish among lily pads, flat colors, no text and no logos.
Lake study

Limits they print, and limits of this page
Their numbers are their evaluation write-ups. This site did not rerun them.
- 256, 512, or no pixel floor
- Blog: 256, with a weaker confidence note below 512. FAQ: 512 by 512 and 30 MB. Docs: 32 MiB and no pixel floor printed. Quote the page you are looking at.
- Metadata is not the score
- The detector page says the model reads pixels, and that C2PA and EXIF are displayed but not used in the prediction.
- Replaced faces
- The FAQ says this release does not yet confidently flag replaced-face edits. It says the target is pictures from consumer image generators.
- A card that says Human
- That image is Pangram's marketing drawing. It is not a verdict, and refreshing this page will not change it.

FAQ
Pangram Image 1.0 questions
Short answers. The long version is the blog, the detector page and the docs.
Does this page detect my image?
No. Pangram Image 1.0 is their detector. Nano AI does not call pangram-image-1 and does not return AI Detected, Unsure, No AI or any other Pangram label.
What is the heatmap?
Their docs describe a grid of patch scores and a patch_stride. The graphics on this page are files downloaded from their marketing pages on 2026-11-06, not a heatmap of your upload.
Is the minimum 256 or 512?
The November 4, 2026 blog says 256, with a reduced-confidence note below 512. The detector FAQ still says 512 by 512. The docs page we read prints 32 MiB and no pixel floor. All three are quoted, not merged.
What does Flash add?
The blog says Pangram Image Flash 1.0 checks video frame by frame. The docs selector is pangram-image-flash-1. Their DF26 figure is 98.7 percent. This site did not rerun that test and does not accept video for it.
Are the 3 free scans ours?
No. The detector page says 3 scans a day without signup and 100 a month on an individual plan. Those are Pangram's terms. Nano AI credits are separate. Nano Banana 2.1 is 8 credits at 1K.
Why is there a generator link at all?
People landing here from a model search still need an honest next step. The link is Nano Banana 2.1, named as a generator, not as Pangram.
